In addition to clothing, residents often bring personal items such as pictures and decorations. While we provide phone and television service we do not provide a phone/TV for each resident room.

Our staff is comprised of individuals dedicated to serving seniors. We employ Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurses Assistants, Dietitians, Social Workers, Activity Coordinators, Housekeepers, as well as Therapists specializing in Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies.

Many of Shalom Park staff go through Eden Alternative training to become Eden Associates. Eden Associates are dedicated to transforming the organizational culture of nursing homes. The Eden Alternative supports moving away from a top-down bureaucratic management; instead the Eden Alternative focus on moving decision-making closer to the Elders/residents.

No, Our Wellness Center is open to the public and designed especially – though not exclusively – for seniors. We offer memberships to adults 55 years of age or older.
